class 37 sound chip

when I put my 00 gauge class 37 on the line the lights work and also it powers. but I get no sound from it, I have reprogramed it as well but still no sound can someone tell me what I can do to fix this. many thanks.

Which decoder/project is it?

If it is an ESU, then which version?

 

Some of these have adjustable volume as a function, usually F27 & F28, but on some systems this is a lockable function, so if you reduce volume, it will keep reducing until you de-select the function (or until it goes silent, which can easily happen first).

I have done this in the past without realising, so I feel it worth mentioning.

 

What do you mean "Reprogrammed it"? Reset a few CVs, factory reset it, re-blown it? I doubt you will have re-blown it with a blank project, but it needs to be asked.
