jhgtisca
I’m on a steep learning after returning to railway modelling after 60 years. I’m trying to find an exact wiring diagram/instructions for using DCC Concepts digital point motors with insulfrog points. The digital motors would be powered from an accessory bus that comes from the same Track output terminals as the Track Bus. The points would operated through DCC. I’ve seen plenty of instructions for electro frogs but not insulfrogs. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks
Dungrange
Insulfrog points don't need frog switching, so just follow the instruction for wiring Electrofrog points, but don't bother with the frog switching. If you are operating the points via the DCC Command Station, then you should only need the two DCC terminals connected to either your track bus or your accessory bus if you have these separated. jpendle
Just wire the point motors to the accessory bus and you're done. The other wires are for polarity switching of the frog on the point, as the frog on an Insulfrog is dead you don't have to worry about that bit. jhgtisca
Thank you both for your advice. I can now happly move on to learn about other implications of DCC.
