ianmacc
I know a few on this forum will appreciate these two vehicles in a central London film set this afternoon! Not sure if the PB is a fictional livery aged for the filming or whether it’s an original livery. And a CF2 Luton van! In 2019......! RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted October 16, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 16, 2019 Film companies use large vans as 'blockers', placed in front of modern advertising signs, shop fronts etc. that are not appropiate to the period of what is being filmed. This is almost certainly the role of the Bedford CF with its rather oversize van body.

Maybe it’s blocking the Premier Inn signage on that period office block?
RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted October 16, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 16, 2019 Apparently its common practice were and when neccessary to use suitable blocking vehicles when making films. It doesn't come any cheaper and has the advantage of a suitable vehicle for transporting and storing props. A few pics of such vehicles have appeared in the Facebook group Just British vans and pick-ups. One of them is of an similar bodied Bedford CA in the same colours as the CF. Perhaps they both belong to the same film/hire company?
