They are/were schdeduled to go in 2023 once the new trains were being delivered and some mods to Azumas had been completed, I guess a further life extension might see them stay even longer. If they stay around long enough to need ETCS fitting?

Pandora
Tuesday and Wednesday saw myself travelling between KX and Leeds, the information given to me by the acknowledged experts is of 4 of 5 sets of Class 91 locos out working the 2-day Class 91 diagrams, no-one was aware of a reason for the 5th set not out on a diagram Edited July 14, 2022 by Pandora

The full set in the new livery was sitting outside Neville Hill depot yesterday and today. Yesterday evening I thought the set was in original IC livery, only in full daylight this morning is the purple colour obvious. It does look very smart. Nimbus
Way upthread I expressed the hope that the 91s would stick around long enough to be re-liveried out of the calculated tweeness of the fizzy drink design. Have to say they could hardly have done it better, it looks so much more mature! Just have to phot it before it gets covered in flies. I'd hoped the 225Group Twitter feed might have daily updates on which diagram it's on. The Nim.
lmsforever
That is the best presented train I have seen for a long time ,someone has thought how to to celebrate the locos and it has come to a great conclusion.

The Azumas will remain as is. 24 minutes ago, russ p said: hopefully no consultant got paid to design it They did use a consultancy firm, but the name is redacted in the livery manual.

Clive martin
Superb new livery ,almost a natural update of BR swallow livery British Rail in its post rail blue era seemed to put a lot of thought into train design and livery s,i remember a certain mr Branson talking about GNER running trains in the old BR livery like it was something negative ,Intercity swallow livery has stood the test of time very well GNER livery with a red stripe was also very smart, ruined by the National Express cheap looking white stripe rebrand,Virgins swirly livery now looks worn out and scruffy ,its great to see these clasdic trains being turned out in a proper livery.
