Hello All, re Yorkshire Engine Co / YEC 0-8-0dh, ref, "A Pictorial Survey of Standard Gauge Industrial Diesels around Britain" AJ Booth (D.BradfordBarton,1977 isbn 0 85153 295 0 ) p63 ...Taurus (56 ton) ...YEC no.2875...demonstrated on BR...returned to Meadow Hall Works... scrapped.,  ... YEC no. 2892...exported to Spain. Only 2x Taurus built, and only 2 x Indus (60 ton) built , YE 2893/1962, YE 2894/1962. So, the YEC 0-8-0dh was not a sales success, yet the Hunslet 0-8-0 from 1972 also sold in small numbers, although in Hunslet's case, they were built to order, whereas YECs were initially a spec build. regards to all, Tumut.
