RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted July 23, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 23, 2019 Had a look though mine this morning. I am in awe of the quality of modelling in this issue.

Of greater interest here is that mine did likewise. Are modellers of the Great Central bound by the Oath of Denny to include Triang clerestories among their carriage stock?

Perhaps Triang used a GC prototype for their GW model. 1

RMweb Gold Donw Posted July 24, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 24, 2019 I spoke to Cygnet last week and was told that part of the delay had been due to an illness which meant a key person was not available. Don

Fenway Park
There’s not much at all in Schonefeld Flughafen. Even the railway station is depressing.

Magazine outlets in railway stations usually have a far better selection of railway related magazines than airports. Probably no coincidence. The newsagent at the railway station in my hometown (Trondheim, Norway) suddenly started to stock MRJ. I am planning a little exursion today to see if it have arrived. The only downside is that they charge more than twice as much as in the UK.

Yes, knowing how expensive printed matter is in Australia pro rata to the UK I had just wondered what the price might have been in Kingsford Smith. Never seen loose copies of MRJ over there in shopping centre places, but the other railway mags aren’t cheap either. Izzy

I am always surprised by the apparently high cost of mags, France in particular. I don't think we do so bad you know. Rob. 2
Fenway Park
The Billi terminal at Bordeaux AIrport had an excellent range of very expensive French railway magazines. A surprise because this terminal is for Easy Jet and Wizz Air and is basically a shed to keep low cost customers away from the Air France and BA areas. Not recommended, fly back from Toulouse if you can.

It would be cheaper if I waited for it to arrive locally but the Newsagents can be erratic in stocking it. Buying UK and US magazines can damage your wallet! Steamport Southport
That's Aussie dollars so about 10p. Or about £6.80 according to a currency converter. Jason
Krusty
Quote The only downside is that they charge more than twice as much as in the UK. Just bought 270 from a magazine shop in NZ. NZD18.50, which translates to GBP9.63 at today's conversion rate. Not a bad increase on £4.80.
