If you imagine two pairs of vertical slots in the panel, the outer ones (dip) larger than the inner (main beam) . They are set inboard from the corners of the car (where I'm presuming the indicators are located). The slots are wider at the top / narrower at the bottom rather than truly rectangular, and glazed over, that was about it.

Struggling to work out what you mean, but the closest I can think of is a Lexus Soarer

All the best

Spookily like one of the design concepts for the Sierra

Yes, but smaller....I'm fairly convinced it was an obscure far eastern model only imported by a couple of UK dealers....Fairly certain, too that I've seen one before.....

Ya drawing reminds me of some kind of Honda Integra or whatever it was called , but the badge doesnt fit your description.

Very overpriced here, bits were expensive and the engine needed 4 more cylinders so no stars from me.

Or, possibly, a model from a familiar Japanese maker (it was RHD), but one that wasn't officially imported to the UK.

There were a few of those around here a while back, suggesting somebody fairly local bringing in such things. I particularly remember an example from one of the biggies (a Nissan or Toyota) with a roof made completely of glass. I think it was mechanically similar to something they did import but the body didn't pass EU tests....

Most of that looks like what was sold over here as the Prelude, model years 1996-98 or thereabouts, but the headlights and bumpers are different.  A pal of mine had one, 2.2 litre VTi, officially about 200 bhp but probably got at on top of that if I know him! It went quite a lot faster than it looked, which is always fun....

There isn't much rover in the 600 unless it's a turbo which I don't think that is

I've noticed a compound near march with a few rovers in May have to check that out

I had a Rover 600 back in the day. A nice looking car and pleasant enough to drive. Mine was in the rather rare Kinversand metallic. Shame I don’t have a photo of it.

They weren't around long, apparently they crash quite badly

Luckily for me I didn’t try crashing it.

I can't imagine much of my stuff crashes well and some with no air bags as I've said before I drive around with a lilo on my lap and if I think I'm going to crash I pump it up !

Not a happy bunny, my wife borrowed the mini today and it’s come back with a flat tyre which won’t Re-inflate so that’s a new tyre needed but to finish it off she’s also managed to scrape 2 alloys and bash the sump!

You don't mean that last line Jim, obviously. But...um...I'll take some cats if a bust-up is inevitable.

The 'fun' car that my wife and I enjoy in the Spring/Summer/Autumn here in Western Australia.

It is the Melbourne Motor Show 2004 Special edition Opel Astra convertible, badged here in Oz as a Holden. German Mechanics and Italian (Bertone) styling, best of both worlds.

Originally purchased in 2009 to celebrate my divorce settlement from my first wife, it has still yet to complete 100,000 kilometers.

Cheers from Oz,

Peter C.
