HornbyHobbies74
Hi everyone, I've recently purchased a Class 92 and fitted it with a standard 21 pin decoder, please can someone give me the CV's to get all the light functions to work and the pantograph to raise and lower. Thanks, HornbyHobbies74

It's only 4 function so will only do a few of the lighting functions and won't do the pantographs. I think the LP5 basic might be able to operate the pantographs, assuming the servos are on the same pins as the full fat LP5, but it is only 8 functions so won't make the most of the lighting on the loco. If I were you I'd do as Eric suggests.

Nightstar was a few years too early, and the wrong route imo. Had it emerged with “new europe” in 2003, Nightstar could have found a niche on overnights from Warsaw, Krakow, Prague and Budapest to London with the migration wave that came at that time. Maybe Rapido may consider them, in HO, the coaches have been busy in Canada for nearly 3 decades, and do a run in Nightstar livery, as a nod to European modellers. I like that thought, but those impecunious east European migrants came because of lack of opportunity at home, so I wonder whether they would have afforded the extra cost of sleeper berths? My Ukrainian guest flew home to visit family this Xmas saving money by a bus route from Poland that took 24 hours longer than using much faster connections possible via Romania. She's doing well at work here and says next time she'll be using the faster route. If demand for sleeper services is ever to return in a serious way (as favoured by environmentalists), their pricing has to change relative to alternatives. 1
St. Simon
Hi, Just got my 92s, and they are stunning and sound great, really happy with them! One question is that is there a way of making the decoder remember it is meant to be in 'Third Rail' Mode when it is taken off the track and put back? As when I take it off, put it back and turn the sound it, it defaults to AC Mode and raises the pantographs. I know you can stop this by pressing F8 to put it into Third Rail Mode before pushing F1, I'm just thinking my operators at exhibition are bound to forget this and we'll loose the pantographs at some point. If not, don't worry, I'll have to put an AJ03 Sign up! Simon Edited January 21, 2023 by St. Simon

RMweb Premium amwells Posted January 22, 2023 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 22, 2023 Having seen the great work by @nightstar.trainto create the EPS version, I wondered if there are any other ‘main’ variations that could be modelled by Accurascale. I’ve come up with: - no roundels, GB Railfreight lettering 92044 Couperin if venturing into mainland Europe: - EWS bodyside logo and DB stickers (Bulgaria) - with or without different deflectors - DB red with no yellow warning panels - Croatia Transagent red - Transagent black It would be good to know if there are any more

True but a few million came, you only need a few hundred of those on the train. The airlines made a killing on EE routes, and several airports in EE positively bulged.
