lindi
Good to see that the MK2f's have finally got a planned release date. Only 6 years after they were announced.
47475
So the 2018 new 47s are almost into 2020 and no sign of the announced 31s at all. The question is whether another Christmas will pass before the MK2 aircons and DBSOs hit the shelves!
RMweb Premium John M Upton Posted December 15, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 15, 2018 Probably not. I am expecting another RRP price rise on them in January and if they stretch it out far enough, another rise in January 2020 too.
Robin Brasher
If you wait until November the price may go down in a sale. It is unusual for a new N gauge item to sell out.

Roy L S
Quite honestly I think Bachmann would do themselves few favours by announcing another raft of models in early 2019, with so many of the existing announcements such a long way off. The N J72 for example was announced probably four or five years ago and still no sign even of a CAD. That makes it feel little more than a "land grab" resulting in Dapol dropping their own variant. Yes, this is how business works I appreciate, but the result appears to be neither company producing one as matters stand now. Roy
Roy L S
So no 8Fs until 2020 at the earliest. Seems quite possible I will get my Hattons Garratt before the 8F then!

Roy Totally agree From the January 2018 rolling stock announcements (62 items) 5 have been delivered (Hawksworth coaches and the 20 Ton Brake Van BR Railfreight) 19 are currently scheduled to be delivered in the next 12 months 38 currently have no published delivery date

Bomag
Mine is in the process of being declassified to a Scottish Region SK. Having had a look at my Platform 5's for the period I don't think any MK2a declassified FKs (19xxx) were allocated to the ScR
RMweb Premium John M Upton Posted January 19, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 19, 2019 Having had a look at my Platform 5's for the period I don't think any MK2a declassified FKs (19xxx) were allocated to the ScR There was just the one that I have found and I believe it was only for a very short length of time but it will do me. I will dig out the details when I am back at my work bench as I can't remember the number at the moment.
RMweb Premium Davexoc Posted January 19, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 19, 2019 Having had a look at my Platform 5's for the period I don't think any MK2a declassified FKs (19xxx) were allocated to the ScR As it was from 1985 that they were declassified, the regional prefix isn't mandatory. Platform 5 of 1986 lists 19454/7 as York, 19455 as Bounds Green, and 19462/4/5/73 as Old Oak based. Dave
RMweb Premium John M Upton Posted January 19, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 19, 2019 Found it. BR Mark 1 & Mark 2 Coaching Stock by Hugh Longworth lists 19462 as being transferred to the Scottish Region in May 1986 but put back to a FK by September of the same year. I suspect what use it has as Scottish Region SK was very limited and I would not be surprised if it never carried a SC prefix at least until it went back to 13462. Still, Rule 1 applies!!!
