chrisf
My only serviceable CD player, other than the D drive in this 'ere laptop, is in my car. Currently in it is Cat Nav, a collection of Les Barker's work performed by some surprising people. Top track from that at the moment is Ben Kenobi by Wheeler Street featuring Roy Bailey. Also noteworthy: the Welsh version of The Lost Elephants of Denbigh, read by the Archbishop of Canterbury. Go on, ask me about Les Barker or I'll have to tell you. Tim H
Marillion - Less is More. Semi-acoustic reworkings of existing songs, actually really good. Last night, prog veterans The Enid live at the Band On The Wall in Manchester. Great show, even if they didn't do "Wild Thing". Tomorrow - Dream Theater and Opeth at Manchester Apollo. See also the quote I'm using as a tagline on my blog. OMS, The Enid, Sheets of Blue Hi Tim, Well b****r me! I've just been looking through your Fotopic site and realised that I was standing right next to you at Tavistock Wharf in May! I was the bald guy with the beard, (but I guess that won't narrow it down much....) But what a gig, and what a venue; first time I've been there, but it wont be the last. I like the qote from Heather on your blog; Prog rock, steam engines and real ale? She could have been describing me (although I wouldnt call myself an expert...) Great to come accross another MA fan, all the best, Dave.T PS Should check out Breathing Space?
Tim H
Should check out Breathing Space? Yes - both "Coming Up For Air" and this year's "Below The Radar" are superb albums, and they're a great live act (although they don't tend to play outside the north and the midlands much)
