'CHARD
THIN LIZZY - "Fighting" - their 1975 opus. It feels the perfect soundtrack to the exercise of perfecting optimizing the location of a very ruff'n'ready bar near to the station, after an outbreak of scenic inspiration :icon_idea:

Guest Max Stafford
Blur - This is a Low. Lovely song with a bit of a nautical feel and apparently inspired by the shipping forecast. How wonderfully British! Dave.
RMweb Gold Barry Ten Posted April 18, 2010 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 18, 2010 Blur - This is a Low. Lovely song with a bit of a nautical feel and apparently inspired by the shipping forecast. How wonderfully British! Dave. Golly gosh, I was also listening to this one this week - first time in years. I was a bit underwhelmed with Park Life when it came out but it's starting to look like some kind of classic album, very much a snapshot of the times. And This is a Low is indeed lovely... Tim H
Karnataka at The Flowerpot in Derby on Friday night - in a word, Progtastic! And on the way back from the gig, "Rebuild the Wall" by Luther Wright and the Wrongs. Pink Floyd's "The Wall" done bluegrass style. The combination of C&W-style vocals and Roger Waters' lyrics is just surreal.
