You’re correct assuming that section B is to replace the corridor side door and two small windows. I understand your thinking in compartment sizes but if you think in bits of plastic I think it should work. By cutting along the inside edge of the toilet window window frame and the inside edge of the stretcher window frame, and the outer edges of the two small windows it should be an OK fit. Ah I think I have it then - section A will have two 4ft windows, B&C 1 each? Thanks for explaining....

I’m in the planning stage of my first Triang Mk1 Cut ‘n’ Shut improvement, hopefully at the end have a diagram AB11 BFK with c/w bogies. A couple of questions, does anybody know what type of roof ventilators were fitted to the final Lot number 14023-14027 and does my picture below look like a workable plan of what goes where from a BSK and a CK. Hi Be careful cutting and shutting Tri-ang Mk1s can become addictive. Here are some of my hauled cut and shuts. It is 10p in the swear box if the railway that went past Royal Oak station into bandit country gets a mention.

Gibbo. Dug my Coopercraft MK1 out of the loft this evening, bogie centres are spot on 186mm. Must find the windows-I saw them in a pile a while ago.

I can recognise the acutely pointed V-hangers as being original Hachette, though. Regards, John Isherwood.

turbos
A further couple of questions, how well does Replica glazing fit Triang Mk1 BSK and CK coaches? How does Replica glazing compare with SE Finecast glazing in Triang Mk1s?

Not sure about Tri-ang, but I bought Replica glazing for my Hachette coaches but didn't use it - six years later, I can only assume that it didn't fit. How does Replica glazing compare with SE Finecast glazing in Triang Mk1s? I don't know either, but you'd need to remove the horizontal and vertical sections inside the Triang window and then paint those parts on the Replica glazing, which might get a bit tedious. RMweb Premium MJI Posted May 10, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 10, 2020 Firstly Replica glazing is anout 100x better than vac form but the window arpertures are slightly too deep on BSK CK. So I put a bit of plastic card on the bottom edge of the frame and file a few days later to fit. Done 2 TSO, BSK, BFK, BG so far. RMB was OK 1
