The more I look at ARP boxes the more variations I find.

An easier one to paint would be Mollington. Same height as Town Green, standard six courses of blue above the wall box but no three-course bands at higher level.

I have to avoid that site. Going there usually costs me about 3 hours.

Just looked at one of the markers on my old stamping grounds. I never realised that what looks like an innocent chimney cobbled up from 3 lengths of concrete pipe overlooking the canal and original line of the West Suburban Railway at Lifford was actually an improvised pillbox.

Pity it doesn't seem to show ARP signal box sites. The Pillbox Study Group has a page devoted to various types and improvised protection.
