RMweb Premium Sasquatch Posted January 26, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 26, 2021 All very inspiring Barry. Most people have never heard of soda ash let alone know how important the stuff is or what it is used for. So why should anyone bother to model the wagons right! The LMS types you have modeled are new to me as I always thought the company just transported the stuff in tarped up mineral wagons as per the norm! They were built for use on Hartford Junction .. a club layout never finished due to baseboard ply delamination. Baz

Mind tou I can remember a few "corrugated iron" tracks in Yorkshire and in Norfolk. I once advised some-one somwhere that if they drove a tractor and plough down it that would make a massive improvement. That idea did not play too well! Or somewhere for the big and small wombats to play music? none of these.. it is a base for a cassette road.. we need somewhere to empty coal wagons add TPOs and sleeping cars.
