ianmacc
I’m no means a good modeller. Most of my stuff is tinkered with but essentially straight off the shelf. I did, however decide to have a go at the method of touching in the exposed card with a suitable colour, which has been recommended since the superquick days of old. Metcalfe kits are incredibly detailed compared to the early card kit manufacturers. I touched in their low relief department store with basically a single shade of grey acrylic paint rather clumsily as it was already fixed in situ! It really makes a difference as can be seen from the photo, with one of them a comparison between an untouched bank to show how they look more ‘solid’ and convincing.
