Nick G
its a loksound decoder it does not have this function on the chip not that I'm aware of Is it a loco with factory fitted sound or a decoder that has been fitted later?
SRman
Another question: does it behave the same way with the sound turned off?

wiggy1
Try swapping the decoder with one of your others and see if it still does the same, that will eliminate one or the other. Wiggy

wiggy1
From what you are saying its a loco fault. So is something sticking, if you give it a push will it move? Does it stick in the same place. Try removing the decoder and refit the blanking plug, address 0 and see if you still get the same problem which I guess you will. So you need to either send it back if its new or send it to Bachmann's service department for repair. Wiggy.
Lowlander
HI Have you looked at the back of the locos circuit board? It's maybe a wire has snagged or came away from the solder pad. Stephen Edited August 8, 2018 by ayrmrg
