Hmmm - I wonder if extra customs charges are liable because it's crossed so many borders?

Good luck!

Cheers,

Mick

Stages 4 and 5 on that Parcel Farce list can be almost as long as the DHL odyssey itself....

Indeed....A parcel from the USA took but 2 days, from collection, to arriving Heathrow....then another 2 weeks for Parcelfarce to get it from Heathrow to my doorstep.

I 'believe' Parcelfarce don't have the use of modern technology....certainly at local depot levels.

Why they have to send a letter out [2nd class post] to inform the recipient of how much VAT & duty needs paying [not forgetting Parcelfarce's fee for the pleasure of doing sod-all   it?]   I do not know......Especially when other carriers can easily contact recipients be email, or even, text message?

As a paying public, we are led by the nose.

Well the doorbell just rang! My my aren't parcelfarce good . . Sorry picked myself up off the floor . . Landed at 21:40 last night, cleared customs, went to hub, then Basingstoke and now delivered . . That isn't a rarity is it?

;)

Now this part may be a slight anti climax for the rest of you but I am delighted with this bundle of Billerbahn at a cracking good price. The seller has been excellent :)

Thread on the results here http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/136489-billerbahn-oe-tinplate/

And very well packed

Oh they do look nice!

By coincidence a DHL and a ParcelForce van just past me. Do courier companys buy their vehicles direct from the manufacturer with dents and scrapes preinstalled from new?
