MrWolf
Those figures look just the job. I only need a few. Each to their own, but I often think that layouts are overpopulated and definitely too many cars, despite the fact that there were around 75000 of them on British roads by 1930.
RMweb Gold chuffinghell Posted March 12, 2020 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted March 12, 2020 (edited) Having completely lost the will to model at the moment I’ve decided to mess about with a left over chimney pot instead to try any perk myself up Best I could come up with is a limited edition four pint Guinness glass Edited March 12, 2020 by chuffinghell 5 1

RMweb Gold chuffinghell Posted March 12, 2020 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted March 12, 2020 (edited) I wanted a pot plant for both the station masters house and the waiting room I didn’t have a clue how @Alister_G did his so I’ve improvised using what I had in my odds n s*d box so I’ve cross pollinated a Gaugemaster potted flower and a Busch plastic fern Hopefully I’ll get away with it I’ve used glue n glaze so the white will dry clear and once dry I should be able to manipulate the leaves Edited March 12, 2020 by chuffinghell 6
RMweb Gold Alister_G Posted March 12, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 12, 2020 My Vase was a bead, with an offcut of styrene tube stuck on top. My leaves were 0.5thou styrene sheet. Yours, as usual, is far neater... Al. 1

RMweb Gold Alister_G Posted March 12, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 12, 2020 The pot is three concentric sizes of styrene tube, and then the stem is styrene rod and the leaves are more 0.5thou sheet. Al 2
RMweb Gold chuffinghell Posted March 12, 2020 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted March 12, 2020 (edited) My plan was to use the leftover chimney inverted as a pot because of its slight taper but it was too small for a pot plant and too big for a vase.....but just right for eight pints of Guinness Edited March 12, 2020 by chuffinghell

RMweb Gold chuffinghell Posted March 13, 2020 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted March 13, 2020 (edited) I thought of maybe putting the potted plant here And filling the other corner with a few pieces of luggage just to add a little interest I quite like it but I’d appreciate so feedback before getting the glue out In the meantime I’ve primed the luggage and each will get a different shade of brown Edited March 13, 2020 by chuffinghell
RMweb Gold chuffinghell Posted March 13, 2020 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted March 13, 2020 (edited) I’ve taken some 0.9mm dia styrene, put it in a drill, rounded over the end and painting it gold The second part is a punched out disk approx 1.5mm dia (the stick is sacrificial for painting purposes) First one to guess correctly what I’m messing about at wins absolutely nowt All I will say is that this is the third attempt as the previous two fell on the floor and I can’t find them And before anyone suggests it, no it is not a Victorian or Steampunk marital aid thank you! My mojo has returned now, it was just a ‘blip’ having been made to feel my efforts were a waste of time on another thread (which I won’t be posting on again) so it doesn’t get any better Edited March 13, 2020 by chuffinghell
