ianwales
Hi I want to convert a Hornby Suburban Bk 3rd to a push/pull driving coach for which I have purchased a Comet push/pull end, I've worked out there could be 3 ways of doing this. 1. Use the comet end as a template and cut the windows out of the Hornby end 2. Cut larger windows out of the Hornby end and then glue the Comet end on to the Hornby one 3. Replace the Hornby end with the Comet one Anyone have an opinion on which would be the best course to take please? Ian
brossard
I replaced the Hornby end with the Comet: You'll want to get a correct loco as well and add the vacuum regulator gear. John
RMweb Gold TheSignalEngineer Posted April 25, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 25, 2018 I've currently got two in progress. The first has a body which is a Period 2 conversion done from a cut'n'shut Airfix body with the end windows cut in situ.Bit of a bu$$er to do but it started as a Brake Third conversion from all that was available when I did it. The second is a Period 3 which is due to have the Hornby end replaced by a Comet one when I get round to finishing it.
dolydd
Why, with all the various RTR LMS tanks available, havenone of big boys thought of producing a RTR pull-push coach for LMS?
