Foo
Looking at http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/search/advanced/PNZ/2018/04/17/1941?stp=WVS&show=all&order=wtt looks like there is a HST on platform one which you can just about make out through the smoke. Power car fire?

RMweb Premium Kris Posted April 17, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 17, 2018 Looks like it is a power car fire https://www.piratefm.co.uk/news/latest-news/2556672/breaking-fire-at-penzance-train-station/
MarcD
As its a Tuesday they wouldn't be able to stop the trains at Camborne. In all serious I presume they will be terminating/Starting trains at St Erth? Marc
woodenhead
If they are saying the Sleeper is delayed just half an hour then the fire was quickly contained to the Class 43 which will now be on it's way to Loughborough no doubt - 'Nothing wrong when it left us Guv"
Peter Kazmierczak
Power car 43138 - one due to go off-lease soon. Power car at other end (undamaged) is 43136); OC set 30. Edited April 17, 2018 by Peter Kazmierczak
RMweb Premium Gwiwer Posted April 17, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 17, 2018 Latest on RTT is trains delayed by up to 45 minutes. Access to platform 4 should be possible as it is outside the overall roof. Images seen here show thick smoke and the orange glow of (probably) the station lighting rather than flame. Seems to be relatively minor in the scheme of things
