EddieB
Here (from last July) is what appears to be a Cockerill type IV vertical boilered locomotive. It is located in Flètre (or to be more precise, just off the D69 Route de Strazeele, between Strazeele and Flètre).  As can be seen it is substantially complete, but some repairs and restoration of the bodywork is needed.   Surprisingly for a locomotive not that far from the Channel Ports, it doesn't seem to have been reported previously at this location, even despite appearing on a Google Streetview image apparently dated 2009.   https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@50.7327518,2.633728,3a,75y,92.31h,82.21t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sigZF7C5Jn923Wjwr-Vx8ZQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en  I was unable to find any identifying marks, although it carries a metal bond stamped "910131" (a date most likely?).  Any thoughts as to what might be its identity?  Among similar locomotives reported to have been preserved in France, a couple have "gone missing" in recent years and I have no record of Cockerill 2956/1920 (formerly of Distillerie Toullemonde, Villeneuve-d'Ascq, near Lille), since reported as being at CEF Nord, Denain-Mines in 2000
