gordon s
Every Christmas my dear lady asks me for gift ideas from the kids and other family members. As a keen DIYer/frustrated engineer, I casually flicked through a tool catalogue and found some long reach screwdrivers. Never read the rest, so they were added to the list.... All I need now are some screws 18" away......

gordon s
That's good to know. I was expecting something around 8", so was a bit taken aback when these big boys were unwrapped....
RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted December 30, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 30, 2017 Long reach screwdrivers are VERY handy. I use my phillips head one quite a lot. Brit15 I've got a flat head one which is quite useful, thing to watch is to make sure you don't bend the shaft but the extra length does seem to add a bit of leverage when trying to shift recalcitrant screws I've found. NorthBrit
Great for fixing the clock on the wall. You don't have to take it down -- and have the bother trying to put it back up again.
Horsetan
Great for fixing the clock on the wall. You don't have to take it down -- and have the bother trying to put it back up again. That assumes all the screws face outwards...

Brit15 Especially useful for hanging fires, boilers etc! My Dad worked at Stanley tools, and in my EMGas days I was king of the hill because I had a very useful long reach pozidrive, which were only issued to Gas Technicians noemally. Mike. Classsix T
Absolutely necessary if adjusting forme roller pressures on various litho presses, such is the way the grub screws are buried in the heart of the machine. C6T.
