DanielB
Hi all, Â I'm trying to replicate the below colour scheme and was hoping to find some suitable paints in the UK - preferably Vallejo Modelair or something in a rattle can. Â If anyone could offer some suggestions I'd really appreciate it. Â
AnEntropyBubble
Hi Daniel,  The MRH Acrylic painting guide has a cross reference table of the old Floquil Colours to the Vallejo paints. Its a free download if you sign up at the site (basically - just join the forum). I'm not a CSX modeller so I can't say for sure that the Floquil CSX colors are for that particular scheme. In your picture the paint does look a bit faded, particularly the yellow.  Hope this helps  Andrew

Glorious NSE
If you're modelling it in that condition, I wouldn't bother trying to work out the proper colours for YN2, I'd just go by eye. The colours on that loco are faded a long way from the original, you might as well go straight to the faded finish and cut out a future weathering step! RMweb Premium jjb1970 Posted December 29, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 29, 2017 Still one of the best NA (or indeed non-NA) liveries IMO. Good choice of locomotive too.
