I am sure there were only 1 set of ZCVs and ZBAs when I posted. Then I thought should I buy them for my "heritage " Mainline 33, went back and there was 2 sets of each. I didn't bother but then out if interest saw today both lots have gone. But a pack of ZBAs has appeared again!

That does seem to be the case, I've seen items I've bought showing a higher qty. a few days later. In accordance with government guidelines here's an obligatory link to a bargain (I think) Hornby Seacows for under 20 quid, usual source:- https://herefordmodels.com/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&search_in_description=1&keyword=r6287

The lockdown situation has really made a lot of stock on shops without much of a web presence come to light. For example I got something I have been looking for for a while earlier this evening at a great price from another site just because I randomly searched for it every few weeks and got lucky tonight. It was on a shop that must be listing old stock (as it never appeared in my previous searches). Not much else of interest for me on there though YMMV https://bjmodels.co.uk/
RMweb Premium spamcan61 Posted June 3, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 3, 2020 Wouldn't want to have to deal with a musty box <Frankie Howerd style sideways look at camera> I have noticed the transparent plastic inner packaging has gone it bit dull/glazed on a couple of the wagons I've bought but contents fine. During idle moments I too have been trawling a few other toy train sites for similar 'new but old ' bargains but not found anywhere to compare with Hereford.

Thank you for posting a bargain. For the purposes of accuracy, they weren't that price when I posted the Hereford price two days ago. Not my era, but circa £100 is a great price. 2 1

That shop is a good find as it is a bit of goldmine for older items that are sold out elsewhere. For example they have the Farish Blue Pullman set (not the Collectors Edition) for only £250 which is a good price if you just want the train itself. https://footplate.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=32_98&products_id=6759

letterspider
Don't know if this would accompany any of the Bachmann Cranes recently released but this seems a good price for a limited edition breakdown coach? https://footplate.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=103&products_id=3932

RMweb Gold adb968008 Posted June 4, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 4, 2020 Not quite a bargain, but an opportunity.. several said they missed out on Hornbys Rocket, Rails has 6 for sale new at £295 (offers available), which considering theyve sold for upto £400 recently this is probably a last chance at a Triang boxed Rocket https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-OO-GAUGE-R3809-CENTENARY-YEAR-STEPHENSONS-ROCKET-TRAIN-PACK/203010227446?epid=2308112932&hash=item2f445a3cf6:g:ebYAAOSwkF1e1nJs
AshleyH
I don’t know in this specific case, but Rails normally accept offers up to about 10% off the asking price. so if you are interested there are currently 4 left, maybe try offering around £265. I managed to obtain one from a dealer in Germany a while back for around £200 including delivery, that dealer Modellbahn Union has sold out, but it might be worth a trail of other European dealers, as the set is bound to be less in demand over there.
