No, he's given it up! So he's a bon fide Aussie, able to eat a meat pie, a Vegemite sandwich etc... I don't recall giving you a Aussie meat pie with a magma temperature filling...

We can save that delight for Ivan's next visit, eh Doug? ;) :D

"But hey, if you could count on [Labor] to be an effective Opposition Party you probably wouldn't need to join groups like Knitting Nannas and GetUp in the first place."

Australian politics in a nutshell and too accurate to be satirical. Speaks volumes on how inept our Labor party is that the mob of Saturday-morning-cartoon villains in the LNP somehow keep winning elections.

Huw Parkinsons youtube channel is my go-to place  when wanting a quick recap of Australias parliamentarians and their jolly antics that we pay for.

And one for the Brits....

Mr Corman does have the advantage that you can reboot him in safe mode (still allows ribbon cutting and baby kissing but blocks access to the policy implementation menu) by sticking a pencil in his ear.

On the subject of dodgy wildlife, I was at a market the other night when a lady customer picked up one of our mugs for a closer look and appeared somewhat surprised to find this little fellow (or fellowess) sitting in the bottom of it.

Had to give her $5 off as a dangerous creepy-crawly discount :D.

I recommend not delving too deeply into the planter tub on the corner of Beaufort St and Mary St in North Perth, 'cos that's where I released the little blighter into the wild :D. Plenty of opportunity there for an enterprising scorpion I reckon.

Is there going to be anyone left in positions of authority if they all keep resigning?

Obviously they don't value their well paid jobs

On the other hand, there was an article the other day, about some cleaners in country NSW, who had been made redundant, without any redundancy pay at all. They were directed to a link on the former employers web site for alternative employment - in New Zealand! Perhaps they should go for election as an MP there?

(speaks into dictaphone, "Suggest bluesky campaign direction to Australia Tourist Board. Apropos lethal wildlife and inept Govt.

For overseas markets only.

"Visit [possibly in Bold] Australia" with the strapline "You'll be glad to get away."

turns off dictaphone).

Might go some way to redressing the balance of all the Kiwi's now working / residing in Oz.

Although if they do emigrate to NZ they'll have to turn the lights back on when they get there. Pretty sure the last Kiwi's out had them turned off ;)

"Snakes don't like hot conditions so they've got to find somewhere to cool off. Obviously he's gone into the pantry.. maybe he was looking for something to eat," he said".

Just one question: THEN HOW DID THE THING GET IN THE KID'S LUNCHBOX???????????? Did the mother pick it up along with some of the food?

They couldn't give a toss, they're doing the bare minimum to get their golden parachutes so they can retire on $400k a year.

The number of authority figures earning tens of thousands while "stood down" during lengthy investigations into misconduct is beyond comprehension.

They simply do as they please, their morals and conscience are in matching burlap sacks at the bottom of a fast-moving stream.

Strangely enough seems like pahia is being taken over by visitors from Oz. Some arrived on a floating block of flats and are now on their way back to Sydney. (Sun princess) No snakes or other venomous beasties were allowed to land..
