RMweb Premium John Isherwood Posted July 1, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 1, 2017 Where can I buy these - http://www.petersspares.com/Hornby-x6354-nem-pockets-pk10.ir?cName=spares-Hornby-spares-all - or another manufacturer's equivalent? They seem to be permanently unavailable from Hornby. Many thanks if you can help. Regards, John Isherwood.
RMweb Premium Hilux5972 Posted July 1, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 1, 2017 Peters has them with the tension lock couplings. Can't seem to find them any other way.

RMweb Premium John Isherwood Posted July 2, 2017 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted July 2, 2017 Thanks, chaps. I've looked at all of those - I think that I'll have to buy the ones with couplings included, and sell-on the couplings. I guess that the various manufacturers have twigged that they can sell couplings to people who want just the NEM pockets !! Regards, John Isherwood. Dungrange
I think Parkside Dundas offer them? I think they do to. It's just a pity that they don't have pictures on the website to confirm its the same thing. Coupling Mounting Blocks to suit Hornby Tension Lock Couplings (pair) Product Code: PA13 £0.20 They are listed under PARKSIDE DUNDAS (FITTINGS) ONLINE SHOP | 00 GAUGE 4MM SCALE | PARKSIDE DUNDAS PRODUCTS | PARKSIDE DUNDAS (FITTINGS)
JeremyC
What Parkside make are mountings for fitting the NEM pockets onto vehicles not the pockets themselves. http://www.petersspares.com/parkside-dundas-pa34-mounting-blocks-for-Bachmann-36027-nem-couplings-pk10-oo-gauge.ir In spite of what the packet says any Bachmann NEM coupling will fit, but with the straight ones you need to pack the block to the correct height. Indeed they do - and I have a LOT on order. I've had to order NEM pockets complete with couplings in order to get the pockets, (even Hornby only had eight packs in stock) - anyone need a lot of couplings on their own? Thanks, everyone, for their suggestions. Regards, John Isherwood.

Hopefully you've managed to find some now, sorry I could only supply a couple of packs - as explained Hornby had around 600 on last week's spares list but were down to only 8 this week! Yes, thanks; Lendons of Cardiff came up with the necessary - and at a very good price. Regards, John Isherwood.
Guardian
Hi All If you wish to fit articulated couplers plus NEM pockets, the Symoba parts (http://www.symoba-schniering.de) mentioned as above have proved very well, also fitted into UK rolling stock. They are available e.g. at Schmidt-Wissen (https://www.schmidt-wissen.de/en/Hersteller/Symoba/), which is a larger German retailer. Such refitting parts are becoming less available in Germany as they are only required for older models without articulated couplers (most rolling stock introduced as of the late 1980s provides for articulated couplers and NEM pockets).
