RMweb Premium Indomitable026 Posted July 30, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 30, 2015 Yes he's starting a new layout in EM, S7, 7mm narrow gauge. It will combine elements of America, Cornwall, North Staffs, Lincolnshire and Scotland. The layout will be set from 1930 to present day. That's what I think we narrowed it down to anyway ;-p Oooooowwwh. This just landed.....

RMweb Premium Indomitable026 Posted July 30, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 30, 2015 That's a great book ! Had mine for awhile now and only managed to build a lamp hut and signal box from the plans ..... Well, I'm going to build more. The weekend trip to Barnstaple with my mates and discussions with DLT of this Parrish have convinced me. Not forgetting lots of letching over his layout

RMweb Premium DLT Posted July 30, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 30, 2015 Don't let 'em loose with an artic, there will be no Devon hedges left after wot they nicked this time to camouflage their van. Don't do it! The last artic to follow a satnav down Westcountry lanes go stuck between two cottages and had to be dismantled and removed by crane. And he wasnt alone! mullie
I think grockles to be a Devonian term, while in Cornwall we are emmetts - Cornish for ants, trickling across the Tamar, I suppose. The term grockles is also used in south Dorset where we lived, most usually to refer to tourists. I was only discussing with the window cleaner of all people whether we were classed as grockles because we had only lived here eleven years and none of us were born here?
