We don't take ourselves seriously - ever

Thats the key - surely

I take  photos of Pies and Pasties seriously (obsessively - when I can't actually get hold of any)......

Which reminds me....

Best, Pete.

A burnt out brake van has been considered a feature in the past, so why should a caravan /mobile home be different on a layout?

Fair dos. But burnt out is one thing - burning out might raise a few issues....

what? like how to keep it going for a two day show??

There used to be competitions for pipe-smokers, to see who could stay alight for longest. Anyway, an old Tri-ang M7 firebox-glow plus a Seuthe smoke unit and the job's done.

The "Valiant Thunderer"

http://www.hondawanderer.com/50008_50015_Bodmin_Parkway_1991.htm

I've just acquired a model of Thunderer and I plan to get one of Valiant.

I plan to put them on the Par curve on the layout to represent this Newquay to Manchester Railtour. A railtour I had the good fortune to be on.

Anyone got any shots of it in the Par/ St Blazey/ Newquay area?

Just found some of a preserved Spam going round the curve though.... hope that helps.

Are you sure these 'resets' are working?

BEST THREAD EVER!

Sorry.......

Best, Pete.

As D says, we never take ourselves too seriously and aim to enjoy the hobby. Despite all the p155 taking, some reasonable modelling does happen from time to time and folk seem to like the results.

Carry on enjoying the 'resets'.....

Nice one Mark

I'm guessing that's at Newquay awaiting the trip back to Manchester

Did we pick up another 50 on route or was that another tour?

50033 and 37142 (I'll not mention 47805 on the way down and 819 on the way back)

The 'Duff Busters' walking up and down the train with their de-contamination equipment clearly didn't have the desired effect

or perhaps that was another tour
