RMweb Gold phil_sutters Posted May 2, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 2, 2018 The weather should be getting better soon, they say, but let's keep indoors for now - it's quite an unusual theme - getting some otherwise unseen photos into the daylight!

Liam
Following the previous photo, can I put forward the suggestion of railway food? Whilst not on a train, here's my breakfast at the station buffet at Kidderminster. Sorry if I'm making anyone hungry.
RMweb Gold phil_sutters Posted May 3, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 3, 2018 (edited) The only reason I went to the bother of creating a collage of Oxford station food outlets (that is an Oxford collage not an Oxford college) is that I belonged, for a while, to a group on another site that shared photos of pubs, restaurants and other eateries. More food please! Edited May 3, 2018 by phil_sutters

Let this one take us from food into Museums - railway museums or railway exhibits in transport or general museums or have we done that before?

EddieB
Can anyone tell me what the purpose of the two smaller hooks and chains were on the bufferbeam? Jim They were known as "safety chains", and were intended to stop vehicles from turning/rolling about the axis of the main screw coupling in the event of a derailment.
