How about another narrow gauge terminus and adjacent standard gauge - this time the Talyllyn and Cambrian Coast steam at Tywyn Wharf in July 1965.

Keep 'em coming!

Aguas Calientes in Peru and a pair of Alcos waiting to climb for 2 hours alongside the Rio Volcanito to Ollantaytambo. (Ours is the one on the right)

There are three ways to get to Aguas Calientes. Train, helicopter or a 3 day hike.......

Aguas Calientes is the passenger terminal. The freight diverts onto a branch just before the station and carries on into the town.

The line carries further on to the end of the line at a hydro electric station.

On busy days, one of the passenger sets heads there to run round.

And that is the end of the line.

Back in Cusco, there are two termini.

They were both closed at the time of my visit.

More end of the line please.

Cheers,

My favourite rail location. Corrour.

Most isolated station in the UK, no roads, a signal box, hotel, youth hostel and nothing else for miles and miles. A long term layout dream (have already done numerous sketches, trackplans and building drawings), visited once, but am doing again by Sleeper this year. If anyone hasn’t been, please go, you will not regret it.

Also the film location in both Trainspotting and Trainspotting 2.

Reference to mixed gauge termini up the thread prompted a few thoughts as to other examples where lines of different gauges terminate (not just meet) in the same station.  I can think of a handful, more if you include adjacent stations on the same site.

Here's one from Tatranska Lomnica (Slovakia), where the Tatra mountain system (metre gauge, electrified) terminates alongside a standard gauge branch line.

Here's the metre gauge side - the standard gauge station can be seen just beyond the hedge to the right.

Now the standard gauge station itself.

Any more?  (Termini, not necessarily mixed gauge).

SNAP..

Except taken on a sunny day, same unit. I doubt that point has been changed in 20 years.

Absolutely beautiful mountain ride in the tram. The rail car itself dates back to the 1930’s.

How about more termini taken from a Train

Apologies for going slightly off requested topic, not from a train but a cruise ship. Flam in Norway.

(Pity they are both the same half....)

More green, how about some carriages or wagons that are green.
