RMweb Premium newbryford Posted August 25, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 25, 2017 I Hopefully!! Anway wildcard, a roller blind headcode If it's accepted let's go random again and get the challenge back on track the next picture will have something not linked alphabetically, numerically, colour wise, locationally to this picture!! Nothing yellow then - that's half of my collection done for.... Cheers, Mick

RMweb Gold TheSignalEngineer Posted August 25, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 25, 2017 (edited) Just to bring down the curtain on the headlamps, Here's one with a Full House, but obviously not on a Royal Train, in 1973. And finally an oil tail lamp on a Western in 1967. (Sorry about the colour Jim) I will now rest for a while and see what comes up. RMweb Premium melmerby Posted August 25, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 25, 2017 I can either do you a postcard of GWR 4-6-0 4021 King Edward (renamed for the occasion, I assume) on King Edward VII's funeral train - 20.5.1910 or the royal helicopter - from 2014! Neither Dad nor I have snapped a royal train. King Edward was the loco's original name, if indeed it was 4021 in the picture. (RCTS might tell us - I'll have a look) Renamed (The) British Monarch when Collett's "Kings" were introduced. Keith

RMweb Gold 96701 Posted August 26, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 26, 2017 (edited) In that case . . . image.jpeg Same again in this livery please. I'm lost now. I think this was the last request, so I am going to posit this one because it is a different loco in the same livery. It was taken on Castle's well organised tour of Didcot Railway Centre. If I'm correct and this is acceptable, how about a photo of a coaling stage / plant? Edited August 26, 2017 by 96701

RMweb Premium melmerby Posted August 26, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 26, 2017 It certainly shows the numberplate as 4021 in the postcard which is at #2347. I've had a look in RCTS and there is no mention of any name/number changes for that engine, at that period, so it might well be fortuitous that it was available when needed. It mentions 4048 Pricess Victoria being temporarily re-named Princess Mary for the royal wedding of 1922. Cheers Keith

BG John
I think we had that as a snow scene......... Cheers, Mick I have a vague memory of Yogi Bear painting that, and describing it as a cow eating grass. When asked where the cow was, he replied that it had eaten the grass and gone! Or that may be a complete figment of my disturbed mind.

MM trams are mostly white and it's on flat bottom track on concrete sleepers held with Pandrol clips so it must be a railway! Keith
