RMweb Gold phil_sutters Posted June 18, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 18, 2017 Looks like the Channel Islands don't figure in anyone's photo files - so have a wildcard.

RMweb Gold phil_sutters Posted June 18, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 18, 2017 (edited) As I only have the negative, I don't know where or when it was taken. Does the arched window perhaps indicate Kings Cross? Something from the North Yorks Moors Railway Edited June 18, 2017 by phil_sutters
jonny777
That certainly looks like Kings Cross to me. NYMR Next, a 'heritage' line in Cornwall.

RMweb Premium newbryford Posted June 18, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 18, 2017 Next something re-instated long after withdrawal (not preservation!) Keith Withdrawn by EWS, reinstated by West Coast. We've had a 57 and a 37. How about a 47? Extra bonus points if it's a (cough) 47xx............... RMweb Premium newbryford Posted June 18, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 18, 2017 West or South anyone? Tonbridge West Yard. South for the full set? Bonus points if another compass point is used as well as South. Cheers, Mick
EddieB
Looks like the Channel Islands don't figure in anyone's photo files - so have a wildcard. I did have an ex-Channel Islands preserved loco - but away from my PCs today. (My only visit to CI didn't include any railways).

John ks
This may be pushing the friendship a little but these tunnels are from Central Station in Brisbane The lower image is at the Brunswick St Station end. These were taken during an open day I you are happy with my interpretation of Central then any piece of rolling stock under construction If not then back to Central John Edited June 18, 2017 by John ks
RMweb Gold phil_sutters Posted June 18, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 18, 2017 (edited) For a change, a photo by our eldest grandson. A loco undergoing major works on a preserved line - next please. Edited June 18, 2017 by phil_sutters
RMweb Premium melmerby Posted June 19, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 19, 2017 How about 1501 on the SVR: Definitely in the course of restoration from "as received" condition As with the SVR in the early days overhauls were a bit of a haphazard affair, unlike the slick commercial operations these days. Next, how about T&W Metro in the original livery?
NorthBrit
Next, how about T&W Metro in the original livery? As this is about posting photos of railways, I see you have the backing of the Railway Unions regarding T&W Metro. saying it's a railway. Whereas, Nexus (etc.) say it's a tramway. There isn't any street running, It has stations e.g. https://goo.gl/maps/Tvrz4aGqScy and it runs only on railway track, There isn't any tramway track anywhere on the main network. Oh, and heavy rail shares some of the route. If it is a tramway, this must be one of the grandest tram stops ever: https://goo.gl/maps/fP1bUUUMMKD2 (somewhat underused these days) Keith Edited June 19, 2017 by melmerby

It runs on old railway lines, and uses some old railway stations and wanted to have the drivers paid at railway drivers pay. The'owners at the time said it was a tramway and after a good few months of 'discussions it was agreed it was a tramway. Anyway, it would be see the old Metro colours. Your post will be confused by my last minute editing, sorry about that. Yes, It is classed as a tramway, none of the Metro signage or publicity ever refers to stations, just metro stops although some of them are stations, like Sunderland that I had added to the post. BTW Gateshead Interchange & Central are good examples of large underground "Tram Stops"! Keith
RMweb Premium melmerby Posted June 19, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 19, 2017 Come on, somebody must have some T&W Metro pictures. Here's your starter for 10: Now lets see a picture witha Metro unit on it (or elsewhere) Keith
