Tim R-T-C
I was going to post a selfie from Paris, but here is a 66 up in the Alps instead. So since the next post will probably be in the morning, how about a full breakfast, served on-board a train. NorthBrit
the most unusual railway related photo in your collection A 'breakdown crane' begging to be modelled Sorry about the poor picture. The weather was dull, grey and very wet. Next -- Anything green so long as it is not an engine.
leopardml2341
Is there enough green in this pic? Class 114 DMU interior. If yes, then something orange next. If not then something 'greener' ps definitely no engine as it's a DTCL vehicle Edited June 6, 2017 by leopardml2341

BG John
Plenty of orange here! Working on the Lynton & Barnstaple in 2003. Next, a narrow gauge non passenger train. Too late! Edited June 6, 2017 by BG John

jonny777
Bagillt on the north wales coast! Next up a loco being repainted I'm not sure this was physically being repainted at the time of the photo, but enthusiast access to paint-shops in BR days was restricted - especially when painting was in progress. However, it is as close as I could get, because I do not do repaints on preserved lines; which is probably the only decent source of that particular subject. Next, any colour photo taken before 1960.

Maybe a bit too hard, given copyright restrictions on duplicate purchases. So let me change this to any photo taken on BR in 1984. Because I bought this with no idea of copyright or photographer - maybe I can get away with it. I think you need to demand a refund from Amtrak That looks pretty disgusting (food should not be that shiny, particularly not what I assume was once bread), but those burger patty things are sausages. Americans (in my fairly limited experience) call our pork cylinders "link sausages", and those things are regular sausages. Can't account for the other things on your list though, I'm surprised there's no visible egg... RMweb Gold phil_sutters Posted June 7, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 7, 2017 (edited) Your Dad took some quality photos, thanks for sharing them with us. I often wonder if we were on the same platform together... That's kind of you, Jonny. I have been pleased by the amount of interest and enjoyment his photos have created. It makes the slog of scanning and captioning them worthwhile. Until the arrival of 'the net', so many photo albums will have sat on shelves, only to be got down when a kindred spirit came to visit. So far I have only come across one instance of Dad and another photographer clearly having been at the same event at the same time. I have uploaded the photo and a link to the other photographer's shot to a new album. http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/gallery/image/81550-gwr-king-george-v-with-bulmers-pullman-train-2101971-at-patchway/ I often look at the masses of photographers he recorded, at the final S&DJR events at Highbridge and wonder if there are photos of Dad in other people's albums! I have one photo that I copied from the net, showing what I am fairly sure is a back view of him, in the black suit he wore going about his parish work as Vicar of Highbridge. RMweb Gold phil_sutters Posted June 7, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 7, 2017 (edited) newbryford asked for that in #807, but here is my only other example Oops not S&C - so ignore this one - unless a Royal Scot on the S&C is a bit too limiting. Let's wait and see! Edited June 7, 2017 by phil_sutters
