RMweb Premium Claude_Dreyfus Posted June 3, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 3, 2017 37414 passes Conway Castle with a Holyhead service, back in August 1993. As we are on the theme of 37s, how about a 37 in its 37/0 condition prior to refurbishment? A before and after photo would get you a bonus point!
great central
37412 - BTM.jpg 37412 rests at Bristol Temple Meads with, presumably, a Weymouth train - June 1995 Inevitably, next up should be a Mainline (Blue) liveried 37. A small diversion if I may? I have a video I shot from a car on the A55 of 37412 between Colwyn Bay and Llandudno Junction, my son was driving by the way. He's made a start on getting the car back on the road this week, it was last taxed in 2003.
RMweb Gold phil_sutters Posted June 3, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 3, 2017 Can't do the after - but I think this fits the bill for before Oh dear! I've now got to think of a new challenge - let's get up to date with a nice shiny 37 at a preservation diesel day
great central
Not quite what was asked for but a nice shiny 37, previously preserved I believe? Therefore as it's no longer working for its original owner is it preserved? If so how about a 47 when they were working on Cross Country services? A further connection with the one above is that 37099 as D6799 would have probably seen use on the York/Newcastle to Bournemouth service

What I was thinking of was something like this... 37274 by Claude_Dreyfus, on Flickr 37274 was rebuilt to be 37402 during the refurbishment programme. Apologies if I was not clear... In terms of 47s on cross country. http://47818 by Claude_Dreyfus, on Flickr 47818 sits at Exeter St David's with a west-bound cross country - June 1994 Pipped at the post!
