RMweb Gold phil_sutters Posted May 26, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 26, 2017 I could upload my grandson's school photo, which arrived from Melbourne yesterday, but that would be someone from Aus.
jonny777
OK then - a class 26 of any colour south of Carlisle. I know that this subject has been overtaken by wild cards, and more overseas requests, so I shall not interfere in the progression; but a 26 south of Carlisle is a category that I can complete by rummaging in my drawers, although I cannot discover the photographer's identity. D5318 at Kings Cross in May 1960.

RMweb Gold TheSignalEngineer Posted May 26, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 26, 2017 Here's one coming down the Northampton line at Rugby with a stopper from Euston in August 1960. A nice mix of LMS coaches. Next one will have a green EMU anywhere but the Southern region.

Looks like there was lots of pride in the job - Not! That Western is in disgraceful condition considering it had 3 more years! Wasn't there any water for the washing plant? RMweb Gold 96701 Posted May 28, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 28, 2017 Not sure what you mean, so here is my version of Falcon. A Silver Fox resin body on a modified Airfix Brush 2 chassis. And the same loco, but in a different livery at Paddington. If that is what you meant, can we have a train crossing over a river?

How about these two: The Metro Bridge with the King Edward behind. (The third one is the Redheugh road bridge) Taken from the Gateshead side. Next How about narrow gauge steam in Spain? RMweb Premium melmerby Posted May 29, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 29, 2017 OK 24hrs and still nothing. I'm surprised there was nothing to see. Lets open it up into: Something unusual on narrow gauge in Mainland Europe Keith
RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted May 29, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 29, 2017 The white staining is probably from the Exmover that was used in the wash plant. Definitely Exmover staining - and extremely difficult to get off (only a few carriage cleaning experts knew how to get it off as it was a two-stage process and it had to be done by hand and it was very hard work - and they didn't clean locos).
