RMweb Gold big jim Posted May 15, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 15, 2017 D'oh, not quick enough, anyhoo here is a crane.... Let's stick with one off paint job (The spooky thing is I was going to also suggest a crane for the next pic before deciding on a one off paint job)

NorthBrit
Let's stick with one off paint job. Most probably not what was expecting, but it's a one off paint job in Messina If okay -- next - A green engine
Tim R-T-C
Can't really see the livery on that anyway! But here is a green loco in a one-off livery to keep everyone happy: 66522 passing Carlisle on a hopper train by Timothy Young, on Flickr Talking of Messina, how about an Italian loco hauled train. EddieB
Demonstrating Italy's gift to the world - graffiti! Here's an Italian loco hauled train - well a former Czech loco hauling an Ityalian (Ferrovie Nord Milano) train at Novate Milanese in May 1998. Regarding my branching off-topic discussion with Mike (Stationmaster), here's a photo of ZB no. 1 "Raimund" from last August - you couldn't tell that it had been removed for a few years, only to be re-plinthed at the same location! Next - would it be too obscure to come up with an Italian built loco somewhere outside Italy? Edited May 15, 2017 by EddieB

NorthBrit
Next - would it be too obscure to come up with an Italian built loco somewhere outside Italy? Methinks this could be too obscure -- Unless you can prove otherwise.
EddieB
Methinks this could be too obscure -- Unless you can prove otherwise. Yes, probably too obscure - unless you know where to look! I can think of several countries that fit the bill - some I have visited, some I haven't. So that we can move on, here's something from one I've visited (it couldn't be otherwise!) - the Croatian HZ class 1061 (former JZ class 362) that were marooned on an isolated stretch of 3kV electrification after the break-up of the former Jugoslavia and withdrawn (some sold to the Ferrovie Nord Milano) when the overhead was converted to the 25kV standard. The locomotives were built in Italy by Ansaldo and had similarities to the earliest FS E646 series. Here a couple of locos are seen at their home depot of Rijeka - previously known as "Fiume" as it was once part of Italy (or sort of).. Right, something a little more flexible - a passenger train (any time, anywhere) made up of non-corridor stock.
BG John
No room for corridors in this train! Don't know when I took it, but a long time ago. Next, something unusual or different to normal on the RH&DR.
EddieB
Next, something unusual or different to normal on the RH&DR. Something about "The Fighting Temeraire" about "Green Goddess" being dragged unceremoniously by the little PWM1 shunter? Next - somewhere in Nottinghamshire...

Tim R-T-C
A minor celeb perhaps, but 91107 carried the James Bond Skyfall promotional livery for a month or so and attracted quite a bit of attention. Here it is back in VTEC colours: 91107 at London Kings Cross by Timothy Young, on Flickr I'm liking the regional requests theme. eastwestdivide
It has been a while since it looked like this. Staion - Snow.jpg Next up: How about continuing the snow theme. Anyone got an independent snow plough in use? Depends what you mean by "in use" - with wheels turning (yes I have) or ploughing snow (no I haven't). RMweb Gold BoD Posted May 17, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 17, 2017 Preferably in use, actually ploughing, but if none are forthcoming.............
eastwestdivide
Snowplough passing Warrington, 1985, conversion from a class 40 bogie I think: So the next photo will have a commuter with any one of: a bowler hat, briefcase or umbrella. Bonus points for all three.
EddieB
Still puzzled over what was meant by an "independent" snowplough. I couldn't resist this one of the crew of the preserved "SAXONIA" at the Dresden Festival in 1998 - umbrella, top hat and the bonus of a pocket watch being consulted. As it's not showing a commuter, I'll leave the field open for other entries.
