Well, everything is travelling 'at speed', just not necessarily a very high one 🐌 🐢

Little Muddle is travelling at 67,000mph

Yes, and after you mentioned it I checked all the hatches and they measure 30" x 18" (in OO scale) so I feel another alteration coming on......???

Thought of a name....

I’m reminded of my Triang clockwork tugboat ‘Annie’ I used to have in the early ‘50s . It wasnt far off 1/72 scale.

Five shillings was the price , if I remember correctly. The larger trawler was Seven shillings and sixpence .

Going back to your tug, you need a couple of boiler room air intakes, they're the trumpet like things that you see on boats of that era.

Agree, all in hand still much to add to it.

Thanks

Base colours being applied before everywhere gets cluttered with detail.

May I ask a question, please ? Why are tugs  painted those colours of black and fawn? I understand that black is serviceable but  does  fawn , or the combination of colours stand out at sea ?

( I’m mildly colour blind ).

Thanks.

No idea but my guess would be a black hull wears well and the fawn colour easily seen in any weather day or night?

My reason for the fawn is that I have loads of Vallejo Cork Brown and it was a chance to use some up plus it looked nice??????

Before privatisation, Port Auxiliary Service, tugs, lighters and barges at the Royal Dockyards, were black hulled and fawn coloured upperworks.
