Guess what....?

That pesky signal has struck again!

So we wait.....

Maybe tell it that there’s a wagon full of signal equipment arriving shortly and that might encourage this pesky one not to be such a grumpy git.

What’s the betting that the train with the signalling items will be given the road so that it doesn’t linger too close.

I think a permanent way train erecting signals is a great idea!

Might have to run that past a couple of shop stewards, the RCE and the top S&T chappy 🫣 😁

I thought* the signalling blokes in the 1930's just dug a hole and dropped it in and then yanked on some ropes, Stonehenge style to get it vertical (?).

*Sure I read that somewhere, unless I'm having a moment?

What's support structure and what's jib?!

It emerges gradually!

Just keep removing things that are obviously not jib until what's left is all jib.

I'll remember those simple instructions - Remove what's not jib and leave was is...!

Right got that, simple really isn't it.......

What part of the crane is a Jibber Jabber?

It's not mentioned in the instructions!

What's "INSTRUCTIONS"? Men don't read instructions, do they? 🤫

I understand that the standard operating procedure is to only refer to the instructions once you have b**lsed the job up...

For me number two. I think it’s more natural to look up from the ground.  But more to the point where are the PANNIERS!

I tend to agree with you, it looks like I better take a few snaps of some Panniers before to many of you end up with withdrawal symptoms even though I still have dozens of pictures of this excursion train to go........

I'll have a word with the photographer!

I’ve tools like that too. Bought years ago in many cases and some have even been used. Others I move occasionally when looking for a tool in the box which in fact turns out to be on the bench all the time

Clad it in stone-finish plasticard and pose it as someone's hilltop folly?

No no no it's one of those avant garde sculptures that you see in squares/plazas/entrances to train stations etc. Meant to represent something ethereal like why can't I open my packet of sandwiches or why is the train fare two and six and I have a nine bob note that sort of thing.

My partner calls me her little alien!  I always read the instructions first and she's never know any other man do that!
