There will be a lot of work to do on them like repainting the black to black/grey, weathering and toning the roof down to name a few. Ohh and while I think about it add some passengers, fit the accessories and have a think about that tail lamp! I take delivery of mine on Friday…. All 6 of them! Are the carriages lit inside? The Dapol details were a bit confusing. Thanks.
Popular Post KNP
Here is a few close ups of the new Dapol Toplight Mainline City coaches. As I posted earlier I only went for three as I propose to use these as strengtheners plus they are slightly out of area (normally London, Reading, Windsor for example) but Rule 1 applies an awful lot on this layout and I liked the look of them so they have arrived.....eventually! Composite coach All third coach Third Brake coach And this is the working tail lamp which I think shouldn't be there on this era but is so they could make it work. I expect, as I am not interested in a working lamp, I will remove it and fit one to the lamp bracket. As I said before lovely well detailed models.

If no chip is fitted then the fitted blanking plate leaves the internal lights on when you switch on your DCC controller. If you remove the plate then nothing works. RMweb Gold Harlequin Posted July 31 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 31 Hi Kevin, On the detailing front, you could also think about the end that would have been inside the 6 car set but is now exposed. I.e. add lamp brackets, hoses and longer buffers. Some of these became workers coaches in Wales running in different sets and so there might be photos of how this was done in the non-Muddle world. 1 2 1 1

Popular Post KNP
Roof off Four clips each side, carefully opened with my fingernail to both sides. Just watch the two pin plug on the brown shelf, I feel to much force and it will loosen/break. DCC chip to left (in roof) once blanking plate removed. Roof back on just line up and push down and wait for click, might have to be done in stages and ensure coach side lined up with click. I had to push the side in on a couple. Didn't quite catch that, whose having a rest? Do you think another Hurrah would be over doing it? - that's a rhetorical question by they way so no need for an answer. I'll second that and add the sleeper built gravel bin at the bottom of the platform ramp. It was a shot of this area that convinced me to make the effort to add correctly set out point rodding to my layout very early on in construction. 6
KNP
Thanks and don’t forget the point rodding was done retrospectively so no excuses if you haven’t done it yet!!!’
Popular Post KNP
You can see why I only brought three as I can pretend the rest of the rake are off in the distance.....
