Good idea the load but I expect there would be boxes of bits as well!

And tools/tool boxes maybe?

I’m not very good at ‘random’ so my attempts at wagon loads always look too neat & tidy (if that makes sense)

I’m still undecided whether or not to put a load in my T3 signal wagon.

I have parts from a Ratio signal kit and some posts I printed that I thought of using as a load….

….but I’m still not convinced

The load looks nice but my 'concern' is the smaller pieces - finials, lamps, levers, arms - could move about a bit if the wagon was rough shunted or subject to coupling snatch and suffer damage. Would they be packed/braced to prevent that? Tools - if it was me I'd have the tools with 'me' in the brakevan/messcoach but that's my opinion rather than anything rules based.

How do we know if they are empty or full. Or can you tell by the bend in the springs.

They where quite heavy when I put them on the track so I assumed they where full!

I know nothing about anything (my wife will confirm), but I would have expected the smaller bits to be inside the CC7.

Thinking about it further, I'd expect that the signal itself would be largely assembled before it left the works, so the lamp casing, brackets etc would already be attached to the post - probably everything except the arm itself.

These pictures were posted by eBay seller https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/frankh4560 Unique wagons. I'm not sure about real life authenticity but like the ideas.

Interesting.

I was thinking about something like this and I do have some aerial pictures of the Reading works showing some macaws loaded like that.

Mavis. Look, you didn't hear this from me rigtht? But I just overheard the Dr. saying he thinks that they might finally be opening that crate this week.

Aunt Edna. What THE crate, oh my god! Whatever do you think is in it?

Mavis. Well I've got this theory that it's...

Oh hello Doctor, it's turned out nice again hasn't it?

Dr Agon. Morning ladies! Yes the sun is in the sky, Panniers in the yard and...

Aunt Edna. Crate on the truck...

Dr Agon. Yes that's right, you know I was chatting to this chap in the pub last night and he said...

You can never have too many panniers.

Could have gwr had over a 1000

I don’t have enough storage boxes so a handful will do.

Notice I said ‘handful’ and didn’t quote a number!!!
