Popular Post KNP Posted March 20, 2023 Author Popular Post Share Posted March 20, 2023 Moving on from some empty coal wagons that appear to have caused a few comments here is a barge update. After many abortive efforts trying to fold the sails so they looked furled I concluded that the thin cotton material I was using was not suitable as to thick. Idea scrapped so back to the drawing board. So I went back to 'old friend' that I have used for many a year that was very thin, tough and very malleable. I refer to a white plastic bag used for bins. The first thing I decided was the sail did not need to be one piece as if I planned it right the separate pieces could be made to look as one. This is where we are as of dinnertime when I finished painting Buccaneer now has a furled foresail and a mizzen sail.
