Fishplate
Very very nice indeed. Been following LM for yonks now and thought when I saw that post that I don't remember a photo of that building. Perhaps from the very early pages? Q: Are there other extremities of LM that have escaped attention recently and needs @KNP s camera pointing at again? 1

Popular Post KNP
Stan Dare, local artist, looking out across the field, perhaps eyeing up what he wishes to paint next. He's very good you know. I tried to paint sheep once, but found they never stood still long enough for me to get a good coat on? 23

Popular Post KNP
The corner is changing. ’The Expansion’ board has changed the feel quite a lot and now I have just fitted and painted the profile board so it’s all been pulled in together. Picket fence to front of Rose Cottage just leaves the back garden to finish with some fruit trees, aviary needs its birds and a few other odds and ends I have thought of. Imagine a 60ft circular brick base windmill where the derelict house currently stands, sails turning in the wind, still very much on the cards. 42

Popular Post KNP
I tried a very close close-up and its funny what you see in pictures and not normally Why is the right-hand side lower!!!! The fence is fixed using brass rod drilled up posts and into module base so it's firm. I lined the fence tops up and I must have dislodged it when fitting the gate. So, I went and removed the gate and levered the RH fence up a bit and That's better, the gap I'm not worried about as it mirrors reality. We can rest easy now. Popular Post KNP
Windmill Saga Looking at Historic England website I found the listed building entry for the windmill which includes the history and details of the structure. I now have enough info to give me the size etc which allows me to work out some dimensions. Basically it’s a six storey building with a steel clad dome and the wall is made of fair faced red brickwork. You can’t say walls as being circular there is only one!!! So I made a card cut out and does it become a focal point….! You can also see that the real one is in a dip and so is this site so the sails have clear air over the trees at the back. It also means I can keep the shed and it will stand on the footprint of the derelict house. Edited October 26, 2022 by KNP 34 2
