And a view I haven't used in a while as it means moving part of the backscene to get the camera lens onto the track.

But, I think, worth it.

Well at least you were quite safe from it suddenly leaping ahead and running into the camera.   And it has made a very effective composition

Has phase 4 of the thatching occurred yet @KNP?

Jay

Ahhh, the thatching.

Had a bit of a problem in that it didn’t look right and for some reason the gloss effect would not go.

So I re-did the roof….

Looking better now but does need to dry throughly to get the Matt effect.

Currant postition

Working on the ridge detail now, just done it and will work on it tomorrow…..when dry as I have to bend it

Thanks for asking.

Thanks Kevin - good to know even someone as skilled as yourself has to go back and do it again sometimes!

Happens quite often if I am honest.

I have a vision in my minds eye and if it doesn’t looks right then we rework until it does.

Well that sounds exactly like my MO. It's surprising how much you can learn, even from doing supposedly familiar tasks. If I think I can improve it, it doesn't matter how long I spent on it. I'll just redo it if it ain't looking right the next day.

Likewise. I lost the fear of reworking anything when I realised that in its current state of wrong, the model, painting or whatever was junk anyway, so there's no real risk to reworking it. You'll gain experience, learn something new and put the job right. All you stand to lose is a little time.
