Popular Post KNP
This was a fiddle to hold at arms length looking back along the layout, made easier by using the aperture setting which was just one quick shot. MrWolf
Nice shot, I do like the way the height of the trees and the curving track make you want to look around the corner into the distance and the right of the picture. It's good picture composition in the photo and the model. 6
Popular Post KNP
Funny thing happened to me on the way to the plank painting station….. Couldn’t quite get the results for the wood decking on the bolster wagon right so I had to go back and see what I had posted on here…….!! Seem to be going in the right direction now. Decided this time to do the decking first as it is a messy process and last time I ended up almost painting the previous one again to tidy up.. Even the posts on here are useful for me….!!!! 21 1 7
RMweb Premium Gedward Posted February 17, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 17, 2022 I think that looks spot on from here. I find successfully weathering wood rather elusive. It gets even harder when you search for images online as there are so many variations and hues. Also impossible to be objective when you've just spent an hour on it. But once it's bedded into its environment it just works. 1 3
MrWolf
That reminds me that I have three of those to finish weathering the decks on, glad you posted this, it's going to be very useful!

Could change, depends on which way the wind blows!! And I found a bucket so can you guess which one I added it do? Can you remind me what you used to model the 'pep' pipe please Kev ?

Solid core flexible wire found in telephone wiring. Easy to bend, holds it shape and glued with super glue. SouthernBlue80s
I haven't commented on this thread for a long time. This layout has just such a nice feel to it with so many well modeled well observed details. For me it, when you look at it, it is an escape into another world. Which is my motivation for my layouts. Best regards Steve 2 7

Me too, the world recently has become a far more uncertain place. And modeling and creating something is a good escape mechanism for us. And your layout I am sure inspires many. Keep at it. 4 1

When my wife was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer back in 2019. My life was pretty much shattered. But I found so much solace here on RMweb though. Reading and watching some fantastic threads. Which then inspired me to get back into the hobby. Thanks so very much. 1

There are some extremely decent people on here, some of whom also have substantial modelling skills! 3

RMweb Premium Mike_Walker Posted February 19, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 19, 2022 Damn, one of those times the train is moving so fast it's out of frame by the time you hit the shutter! 1 1
Tallpaul69
Fast? A Freight? and on Little Muddle?? Surely not! Or do you mean the passenger train? Regarding the latter, I do have to say the illusion is a little spoilt by the slightly askew rear lamp and the lack of detail on the rear buffer beam! - I'll gloss over the very visible coupling! Seriously, nice composition Kevin, although another variation might be a train waiting on the branch. Three trains in one photo on LM is going some. Keep up the good work!
