Wizard models sell etched brass strip under the Mainly Trains range. The strips are etched in various widths and the narrow width may be suitable.

Jon

Thanks for this.

Just ordered some

Looks like Encombe Town used to have Broad Gauge through the platforms. Little Muddle must have been one of IKB's projects.

There must be some bridge rail used as fence posts hiding nearby surely . . . . ?

Maybe Encombe Town's off scene cattle dock is made from it. Judging from the outside framed station building, LM was built late 1800s to standard gauge only.

Today's bogus history lesson was brought to you by the numbers 4, 8 and 0.5".... :D

I’m puzzled by the helicopter landing pad sign on the cattle dock. I thought the Squadron Leader flew a fixed wing aircraft

Perhaps an Autogyro would be more appropriate. Still a contender for the semi vertical takeoff and landing aircraft of choice in the mid 1930's.

I was told some years ago by an architectural photographer, never to take pictures of a closed door or gate if it could possibly be opened, and I think it is a good prinicpal.

I imagine that it is because the eye is led through and beyond.

Great principal, the same with doing a painting with a field gate or Barn door.

Totally agree but I think it also makes the inside look inviting and welcoming….
