RMweb Premium Keith Addenbrooke Posted May 7, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 7, 2021 All these are really good - nothing is better than wood for wooden structures (!) but these are so well made too.  Forgive me if this has been covered before, but can I ask what glue you use for the coffee stirrers?  It looks like you glue them to the card inner structures, so I’m guessing a card glue rather than superglue or woodglue, but just wondered (I realise brand is probably going to be different in France).  Thanks, Keith.

I've bought a 1000.

JAMO
The location of this house is the foreground, to hide the "hole in the sky" when the track drive through the backdrop.  I find this house too close to the track. It should be better with one or two inches less closer. My layout is too small

RMweb Premium Northroader Posted May 30, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 30, 2021 (edited) There were plenty of situations where the railroad passed close to buildings, Jacky. Once you’ve done some scenery it should look better. Maybe put another building behind in the corner? Edited May 30, 2021 by Northroader

I've seen one on the Batten Kill RR: The enthusiast's home   The scenery will hide the too close to the rails situation. I hope.  The CN switcher corner is not bad too! And the curve seems very sharp! The roof pans aren't symmetric. The house don't matter my ideas.  A possibility to keep this house at its location is to cut the walls to reduce the width, like that:    I think this is the solution to my problem... I'll try... I hope it'll work.

JAMO
Here I am. After a long time elsewhere, I'm coming back to my layout and the house. JAMO
Now the garage! Â I've drawn the 2D plan with a software. After that, I've printed and glued the paper onto a thin cardboard to make this mock-up: "the mock of the mock-up". This mock-up gives me the volume and the idea of this future garage. Now, I have to build it from wood. Â Â Â Â Â 7
