RMweb Gold Hattons Dave Posted October 25, 2017 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted October 25, 2017 (edited) Hi all, The first colour samples for the Beilhacks have arrived and are shown below. There are a few changes that have been noted, including the logos printed on the roof being slightly squashed and the running numbers on BH-011 and BH012 being incorrect on these samples. On the whole we're very impressed, especially with the detail shown in the data panels. KDG
Wow they look smart. I'm going to have to up my pre-order to include a yellow pair too.
Lyddrail
They do look very good. Double checked the NSE versions which look just about spot on. Only question is if the NSE logo and name is a little small, but can't confirm from views published. Stratford Shark version looks good too, but not sure about the shark logo. Might be right on left hand plough edge, but not right on right hand plough edge, although I only have one photo of this view. It shows teeth different style and much wider. Anyone else got and photos showing the ploughs? Very detailed models, well done. Cheers.
class37418stag
Hello everyone I has seen simple snowplough yellow with badge depot of salmon based Motherwell depot near Glasgow and near mossend yard ?
MRDBLUE17
Hi Hattons Dave, The 3D print looked tempting and now seeing the painted samples they look superb. I’m impressed by the quality and running of my pair of Warwells and these look like another success for you. I’ve also realised the Network Rail pair 78/79 are Carlisle based so will be ideal with a pair of DRS 57’s sandwiched between them. All the best Mark

Shedmaster
Hi Dave, Would you be able to clarify what the arrangement is at the inner ends of the vehicles, where you show a tension lock coupling please ? Is there a blanking 'insert' such as on the Bachmann Class 03 loco and following on from that, are these supplied with things such as air/vacuum pipes and coupling hooks? I see that there is a massive amount of detail provided on these models, just not seen anything about this particular part. ( or maybe I've missed it? ) I'm actually sat here wondering as I type, if the current deluge of snow across the UK will cause a spike in sales for you, of course I hope it does! Many Thanks, Kindest Regards, Shed.
truffy
I think that I'm really missing the point of this (and this): Surely they exist, but they're deployed in snow conditions. How many layouts...?
Dungrange
Yes - they are deployed to plough snow. But for the rest of the year they are parked up in sidings across the country (so you can think of these as a scenic feature) and of course they may be moved around the country depending on where snow is forecast in advance of snow actually falling, which would lead to them being required. Many Thanks, Kindest Regards, Shed. Hi Shed, Thanks for the questions. There isn't a blanking insert included but there will be a detailing pack supplied with cosmetic pipes and couplings to fit if desired. I hope this helps. 37501
Hi Dave, I really like the look of these and fancy one of the BR yellow ones. When will they be available please? Many thanks John
HullCityB17
Hi Dave, Are there any future plans to produce these in 0 Gauge please as these are now only available from one kit manufacturer now that JLTRT has ceased trading. Also, how easy is it to produce just the Beilhack plough as a separate item as in post #83 in both gauges please? As this is how they were first used in trials up until the early 1980's before BR settled on using converting the Class 40 & Class 45 bogies, especially in Scotland? MRDBLUE17
Hi Dave & the Hattons team, Was great to meet you all up in Glasgow, glad you enjoyed the show and good to see Hattons present. I was already impressed with the Warwells I have but getting chance to see the ploughs and the RHTT was a great opportunity. I will be getting the Carlisle pair and a weathered RHTT in due course as they will provide something interesting for my DRS fleet to haul. Thanks Mark

RMweb Gold Hattons Dave Posted May 2, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted May 2, 2018 Hi all, We've had an update on the progress of the Beilhacks which are currently en route from China with the exception of H4-BH-005 and 006 which are going to follow on a slightly later delivery. We're expecting to receive these in to stock on Wednesday 23rd May 2018. As always, I'll be sure to provide further updates for the NSE branded versions (BH-005 and 006) as soon as possible. RMweb Premium newbryford Posted May 16, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 16, 2018 Seen as I only have one DRS 66 or one Colas 56 to power my ploughs, I may have to expand my loco fleet. Either that, or just park them in a couple of sidings..... Cheers, Mick
