RMweb Gold JohnR Posted October 10, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 10, 2016 Does anyone know whats happened to the Small Goods store that used to be available as a free download?
BG John
I assume it was withdrawn because it wasn't up to current standards. Bit of a shame, as it's quite a useful kit. Grab the freebies when they're available!
brossard
A very useful kit indeed, I did manage to grab it quite a while ago, and built a version in 7mm recently, although I didn't use much of the prints. I used the kit prints more as a template. Agree with John, if you see something free, get it, even if you don't have any intention of using it right away. 28XX
I suppose, since it has always been free, someone could email it to you without fear of copyright infringement. (Slams lid on nuclear bunker and waits within for copyright froth to subside).
RMweb Premium Chris116 Posted October 10, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 10, 2016 I would suggest you e-mail John Wiffen at Scalescenes and ask him if he is willing to send you a copy. He has always been very helpful when I have asked anything.
RMweb Gold JohnR Posted October 10, 2016 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted October 10, 2016 I did download a copy ages ago, but blowed if I can find a copy of it on my external hard drive now (it was several computers ago).
RMweb Premium Ray H Posted October 10, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 10, 2016 A can echo the statement about John Wiffen being happy to help. I didn't know that there was a small Goods Store in the Scalescenes range. I'm struggling with a specific problem and wonder if the store might be the answer to said problem if it is still available. Does anyone have a picture of it before I go bothering John on what might be a wild goose chase if it isn't what I'm looking for?
66C
This from the instructions: There were two versions - one with brick piers and the other with stone. Regards.
RMweb Premium Ray H Posted October 10, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 10, 2016 Thanks for going to the trouble to post that. It looks similar to the Provender store plastic kit that I had on my old layout. I'll guess both are similar in size. Alas I could do with something a little larger with an open rather than covered siding to serve it. Thanks once again.
