TEAMYAKIMA
On the Hattons J94 thread there are some photos of a J94 in what is described as a 'cleaned with an oily rag' finish. The work was done by Mercig Studios. I have contacted them and I am disappointed to say that they will only take on N gauge commissions - don't know why, but that's what they say. So my question is does anyone know of a professional service that offers this kind of finish for HO/OO. I am currently using TMC for heavily weathered industrial locos ... there service is excellent for that ... but for my mainline locos I want this exact finish .... a well used loco that has been wiped over by the driver's oily rag.... I have also looked at Grimy Times and again their finish does not seem what I'm looking for. This is what I've seen and what I'm looking for.... Guest eddie reffin
Send a pm to Mad McCann on here. He is the brains behind Alba Weathering and Effects. Have a look on his blog http://maxstaffordskennel.com I've had some 2mm stuff done by him but his 4mm is excellent too. Cheers Eddie
Ian Abel
Also try "Barry O" on this site. His web site is -> http://activeweathering.co.uk/ and far as I know he does pretty much "to order" weathering...

Very nice - can you say a few words about how you get the finish on the 3 'clean but grubby in corners' lined green express locos pls?
