RMweb Gold Hroth Posted January 22, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 22, 2019 Speaking of Norman yolks, or jokes, I'm sure that I misrecall a scene from Gerry Andersons early puppet creations, "Supercar", where Dr Beaker is examining an ancient tomb in a crypt and exclaims "It contains Norman Wisdom!". (Dig the early-60s combover!)

Nearholmer
I'd imagined the Warren Lodge as something that could be seen, across a heath, with a stand of pines beyond, from a passing train on a rural stretch of the WNR; part of the layout known as CA, rather than the village of CA. I do like those little Medieval bunnies. And, the yellow Atlantic tank. Its the loco that I cannot understand why Ace Trains, didn't make when they produced a huge array of 4-4-4T and 4-4-2T 20+ years ago, thereby kickstarting the Tinplate Revival Movement ...... if you look at my thread, you'll see how easily one could be represented (to tinplate levels of evocation) using a Hornby No.2 or an Ace tank. Nearholmer
It used to be possible to travel by train from Gravesend to all Allhallows in Kent, which might imply that there was some post-mortem commuting in the past, if only once each year. runs as required
Runs as Required (could be an LSWR rabbit special hauled by an Ilfracombe Goods) has just been to see 'The Favourite' starring 17 rabbits. And mention of the Sou-West: how many stations were there in Plymouth? Even more than in Acton? dh
